Convenience

I understand that busy nonprofit professionals and small business owners have multiple personal and professional obligations, so I will work around your schedule to make sure that you get the services you need.  My office has free parking and I’m happy to work with you by phone.

Transparency

If we enter into an attorney-client relationship, I will provide you with an engagement letter that lists individual tasks stated in detail, so that there are no billing surprises.  You will receive an itemized billing statement for your records.  I perform many services for a flat fee, making your legal expense predictable.

Affordability

I am sensitive to your budget, so I minimize my overhead and provide a very competitive rate for the Pittsburgh area.  My regular fee is $250 per hour and I bill in tenths of an hour or on a flat-fee basis, depending on the situation.

Comfort

Hiring a lawyer can be an intimidating process, but I want to make it as comfortable and friendly as possible.  I aim to provide legal services that are both personalized and personal.  I will be sensitive to your beliefs, values, and goals.
